The Manager, Construction and Real Estate is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facilities team and the management of BluePearl construction projects and initiatives. He/she will provide effective leadership, direction and support of available resources to promote a high performance team in a fast- paced, growth environment. This individual will monitor costs and ensure satisfactory progress for projects including the construction of new locations, renovations, expansions, and major equipment installations (including CT, MRI & Linear Accelerators).


As a Manager, Construction and Real Estate you will:

  • Select, train, develop, and engage a team of Project Managers and their respective portfolio.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of subject-matter experts to leverage collective wisdom and foster a collaborative, engaged, high performance team.
  • Coordinate equipment requirements between the field teams and our procurement department.
  • Oversee coordination with appropriate business and procurement teams to ensure support from equipment vendors regarding setup, installation, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Be responsible for project design, development, and successful completion in alignment with financial plan.
  • Develop and maintain operational budget in support of facilities planning and construction activities.
  • Participate in creating operating and capital budgets in support of real estate transactions and the overall operations of the assigned portfolio.
  • Work closely with functional partners to develop, track, and report on all facilities projects including driving process improvement initiatives to ensure the most efficient management of priorities.
  • Help to manage the negotiation of select real estate transactions including leases, subleases, extensions and renewals, site selections and re-position, early closings, resizing of existing spaces and other lease amendments.
  • Leverage institutional and industry knowledge to effectively plan, scope, and make decisions.
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Management, Engineering, or similar field required.
  • 5 to 7 years’ of related experience in construction project management, real estate development, or similar role required.
  • Experience in veterinary or human healthcare environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, CAD, and Project Tracking Software.
